Give us your views on Comprehensive Area Assessment

The second consultation on the Comprehensive Area Assessment
(CAA) is launched today.
The CAA is the framework due to be launched in April 2009,
that assesses how well councils deliver all local services to their
residents.
The CAA is delivered by the following seven
inspectorates:
- CSCI
- Healthcare Commission
- Audit Commission
- HM Inspectorate of Constabulary
- HM Inspectorate of Prisons
- HM Inspectorate of Probation; and
- Ofsted
For the first time the CAA will assess all the public services and
issues which affect residents including:
- the local economy
- the availability of affordable housing; and
- how safe local people feel
The consultation closes on 20 October 2008.
