CSCI at the National Children and Adult Services Conference October 2008

We are attending the National Children and Adult Services Conference in October.

This year’s conference theme is Sharing the vision - shaping the future. 

We will be there to promote our work and contribute our expert voice to the debate about social care. There will also be a:

This is the fifth and final time we will be at the conference before we become part of the new Care Quality Commission in April 2009.

Over the three days people attending the conference will have the opportunity to meet the Chair, Dame Denise Platt, and Chief Inspector, Paul Snell, as well as a number of CSCI Commissioners and staff.

There will be an opportunity to get free copies of CSCI’s latest reports on a huge range of issues.

CSCI policy session

Thursday 23 October 16:00 – 17:00, Hall 11B

This session will share early findings of a new CSCI study  looking at how well people are protected from abuse by current arrangements across councils, care providers and other partner organisations. The study is due to be published in November.

The session will draw on the study findings to consider which factors make the whole system work better for people.

There will be an opportunity to debate priorities for the future to ensure people are better protected from abuse and have confidence in a more personalised system.
